Our target list includes genes annotated as hypothetical in Arabidopsis and those predicted in intergenic regions based on sequence conservation with Brassica.. Since there are other research groups including Ecker's group at the Salk Institute, The Center for Eukaryotic Structural Genomics (CESG) and the Arabidopsis thaliana Orfeome(ATOME) group in France also are cloning full-length cDNA from Arabidopsis, we remove their target genes from our list to minimize duiplication of effort.
