Human Chromosome Genomic Sequencing Status

TIGR has been awarded a grant from the NHGRI to sequence the short arm of chromosome 16. TIGR will shotgun sequence clones from the Caltech BAC Library.

This project is a collaboration between TIGR, Caltech, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. A summary of the status of the map can be found at the CalTech chromosome 16 page

TIGR has completed, annotated, and submitted to GenBank 11,789,414 bp of human genomic sequence.
