Whole Genome Shotgun Effort
This page provides an update on the status of the end sequencing effort at TIGR, as well as three types of search tools against the S. mansoni end sequence database: search by clone name, sequence similarity searching, and BAC end sequence database search with large queries. Our end-sequence database is updated weekly.
A database of end sequences generated at TIGR from the S. mansoni Sm1 BAC library can be searched by clone name or sequence.

- Blast Search Perform Blast Searches of your nucleotide or protein sequence using the tigrblast server against the S. mansoni local individual sequence reads or contigs sequences. The WGS_individual_reads database contains all sequences from Sm1, CHORI-103 and whole genome shotgun libraries. Individual databases from Sm1 and CHORI-103 libraries are also available for searching. WGS_smansoni database contains preliminary contig sequences generated during the assembly process.

- Retrieve End Sequences for a BAC clone (with links to Genbank accessions as they become available)
- BAC End Sequence Database Search With Large Genomic Sequences This mapping tool allows searches with large DNA fragments against the BAC ends database. The results are presented in a graphical format, with candidate minimal overlapping BAC clones suggested.
