The sequencing of the genome of Aspergillus fumigatus was conducted by an international group of scientists with sequencing being accomplished at the Sanger Institute, and The Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR). The TIGR portion of the project is funded by grant U01 AI 48830 from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to Dr. David Denning, University of Manchester, UK, and Dr. William Nierman at TIGR.
