What's New
09/22/04 Unveiling of new page design and tools. Release of 24 additional fully-sequenced clone inserts and many more end sequences. Homologous regions of clones and end sequences are now displayed in the graphic display.
01/22/02 Sequence for the first two completed BAC inserts are now presented in the "Annotation" section. These BAC inserts have already been published. For more information see the "Annotation" section.

Additional BAC end sequences have been released. See the "BAC ends Information" section for more information.

The FTP site is now active. Download BAC insert and BAC end sequences at ftp.tigr.org/pub/data/MBMO.

BAC end sequences and BAC insert sequences are now searchable. See the appropriate section for more information.

05/22/01 Users may now browse BAC-end sequence data. Sequences were searched against a comprehensive protein database using BLASTX. The results were analyzed by a program, and putative gene identifications were automatically generated. Go to BAC-ends Information for more information.
02/09/01 BAC-end sequences are now searchable. Users may search their DNA or protein sequence of choice against the BAC-ends sequence data using BLASTN or TBLASTN. Go to BAC-ends Information for more information.
11/22/00 The Monterey Bay Microbial Observatory is now online. Check back periodically for additional content.
