The TIGR Castor bean Database provides links to the castor bean genome project at TIGR and includes sequencing and assembly of a 4X draft of the ~400 Mbp genome using a whole genome shotgun strategy and, ~50,000 ESTs from different tissues to aid in gene discovery and annotation. This project is funded by the NIAID-NIH, through the Microbial Genome Sequencing Center at TIGR.
